CRU is responsible for supporting the clinical research activities of its members, safeguarding the scientific quality and rigor of the projects.

Research projects should be subjected to Unit Coordination, which will assess the quality and scientific interest, and the community's impact.

CDRU encourages its members to submit their projects to funding competitions regularly opened by FCT and other institutions. The principal investigator of each funded project will be given the conditions to scientifically and financially manage the project, in order to meet the expected productivity indicators, to carry out the reports required by the financing entities and to present them with established regularity.

This unit should provide support in the design of studies, search and formalization of applications for funding, data management, statistical analysis and support in publishing results. In addition, it should regularly promote training actions in research methodologies and / or encourage the participation of its members in external actions in this area.

The previous points can be modified or extended according to the development plan of the Unit, which should be reviewed annually.
